I have lived in the Highlands for more than 20 years part time (I am also a resident of Sydney). During that time, I have seen The Southern Highlands change from being a sleepy part of N.S.W. into one of the premium food and wine destinations of N.S.W.
I have been visiting the vineyards since they opened, and have a great appreciation for them, as the wine makers put their heart and soul into every bottle. Showcasing this area is a love of mine. Grape Escape tours will continually source new vineyards to share with you as the area grows.

This is a cool climate area and the wine here is crisp and youthful and 'dances on the palate'. I am sure this new wine region will amaze you as you discover its quiet achievements. As I watched the fields being changed into vineyards the excitement grew within me. Then came the cellar doors, and good food... Now, years down the track, it is my pleasure to show people what is on our doorstep, and this wonderful region is only 1 hour from Sydney!
